Asian Games silver medallist Vijender went down to Uzbekistan’s Rasulov Elshod in the final bout and had to settle for second place at the 24th Asian Boxing Championship at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Vijender, the lone Indian to make it to the finals, lost 3-14 to Elshod in the 75kg category.
India, which sent an 11-member team to compete in the tournament, finished with one silver and six bronze medals.
The event, which saw participation from 140 pugilists from 20 countries, ended on sunday.
